
Depart the US.
Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro, you will be taken to your lodge in Arusha. You will be given a pre-safari briefing by your guide before dinner this evening.
Start today with a visit to Peace House Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering children who are orphaned or living in extreme poverty by providing them with essential resources, compassionate care, and meaningful opportunities. Afterwards visit a local market to purchase six months of food for Losirwa and Lucas Mhina primary schools. We will be buying enough maize, beans, cooking oil, sugar, tea leaves, and salt to last from January to June. The food will be loaded onto a special hired truck and we will proceed to the schools for delivering. Picnic lunches will be provided on the way. Later, head out to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is home to approximately 6,000 elephants; you will also find giraffes, buffalos, elands, wildebeest, zebra, antelopes, lions, leopards, jackals, and cheetah. Extensive grasslands, dusted with the occasional acacia or baobab tree, provide the optimum conditions for viewing wild animals.
This morning continue exploring Tarangire National Park. Return to the camp for lunch, then later you'll head out for an afternoon then evening wildlife-viewing drive.
This morning an armed park ranger will escort you on a nature walk through Tarangire National Park. The walk takes approximately two hours as you look for birds, and wildlife. Depart towards the Ngorongoro Crater wildlife viewing along the way. En route, stop at Mto Wa Mbu for a walk through the village, we'll be able to observe the way of life in this rural community. Enjoy lunch prepared by a local family with an explanation of the different culinary delights and how they are made before continuing towards the crater.
This morning drive in the crater, exploring. You'll have a catered bush lunch, cooked and served on the crater floor to make the most of your day. In the afternoon, return to the lodge for some free time and dinner. Later return to the lodge for some free time and dinner.
Today, begin the transfer to Serengeti National Park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where over a million wildebeest famously migrate every year. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time before gathering around the campfire and have a discussion with our group leader about the Great Migration. Dinner at lodge.
Wildlife Drives.
This morning drive from the Southern Serengeti to Central Serengeti, wildlife viewing along the way.
Early in the morning, we'll board our vehicles in order to begin our morning wildlife-viewing drive of the day in the Serengeti. We will return to camp late in the morning and have lunch. Then enjoy some free time to rest and relax before heading out for our midafternoon wildlife-viewing drive. This area is the best for hippos, crocs, carnivores, elephants, and giraffes, to name a few.

This morning, we bid farewell to the Serengeti with a scenic flight across Tanzania. Upon our return to Arusha, visit Hope Girls And Boys Primary School before enjoying a family hosted lunch. Afterwards travel to your day room for time to rest, finish packing luggage, or freshen up before transferring to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your evening flight back to the U.S.
